Coloring sample artist reflection

1. I think the best shot of my project was the the painting because it thought that was more creative to me and it got my attention
2. I think the weakest shot was the Christmas tree because it doesn't have as much details and it grabs my attention less
3. I can improve my weakest image by maybe moving closer to get one of the ornaments better
4. Yes I used Photoshop to change the levels, add contrast and to change the picture to black and white. I also used it for the final shot
5. I was able to meet the objective for this assignment was to take interesting colorful pictures
6. The easy thing about this assignment was doing the edits because it was simple to do
7. Something difficult about this assignment was me getting the pictures
8. If i could do this assignment over again I probably try and get more colorful pictures
9. On this project if I was to give myself a honest rating i would give myself maybe a 8.5

Motion Photography Artist Reflection

1. I feel my fourth shot is the best shot because it draws my attention more

2. my second picture is my most weakest one because it is more boring

3. The way I can improve my weakest shot is I can find a different angle

4. I used some Photoshop just for adjustments

5. I was able to reach the objective by having the right tools

6. I didn't find anything easy about this assignment

7. One thing I found was difficult was setting up the settings to take these type of pictures or it was obtaining some of the tools I needed

8. If I could do this assignment over again i would probably would try to take better pictures

9.If i would grade my effort on this project I would give myself a 7

Artist reflection Depth of field

1. I feel my best shot was either of the cubes attacked on each other looking down or it was the railing going down

2. I feel the weakest shot of the assignment was the door

3. I can improve that image by maybe focusing more and maybe finding a better angle

4.On Photoshop I used the Auto tone. auto contrast, auto color and some other tools that I really dont know how to explain well.

5. I was able to complete this assignment by taking picture of both high depth of field and low depth of field, focusing on both, and taking as many of those pictures as I could so come time I would have a couple of good ones to choose from.

6. What was easy about this assignment was finding low and high depth of field because it is all around us.

7. For me managing my time because I had to do most of my shots in school

8. I would probably try to take different photos in different places

9. My effort i would give myself is a nine because I feel I did well on this assignment.

Artist reflection: Back lighting

1) I say the first one because it was more interesting than the other one

2) The second one because it doesn't look as interesting, it looks more plain and simple

3) I can do more editing

4) Yes I used Photoshop to do some of the effects with the colors

5) Taking as many pictures as I could because that is how i can choose the best ones

6) Editing was easy about this assignment

7) Taking and getting the pictures because there would be a certain time you needed to take it at.

8) I would try to manage my time to get pictures

Ansel Adams

1) Ansel Adams masters in capturing landscapes

2) He uses lighting and the distance from whatever object he is shooting.

3) I really like his work with his lighting and color and he gets the best shots from the angle he takes the picture from

4) I feel this way because I love landscape pictures especially the ones that can calm you down and make you feel warm and happy.

Artist Reflection: Texture

Jackson O'Brien

                                                                      Texture

My best picture is the one of the tall bush because the combination between the angle and the sun really brings out the spiky texture. The weakest shot is the bench because it doesn't really express texture more than the others. Maybe I could find a different angle. I used it to brighten some picture because of the shadows in my pictures. The way I was able to meet my goal was to just take as many pictures as I could. Finding texture because it is everywhere. Finding a way to edit the pictures. Pay better attention to the different angles. I would honestly give myself and 7 and 1/2 or an eight because I can try harder all around.

texture

The tree is spiky and the angle, lighting and position brings that out
The bench is bumpy and the angle, position and lighting brings it out

The tree is rough and the lighting and angle really brings that out

Artist Reflection

Jackson O'Brien

The Picture I like the most is the image with the car side mirror because the image focuses on the mirror and you can see the sun and the light in the mirror. The picture of the stop sign is the weakest because the stop sign is in the middle of the picture and it would look better if it was off to the side. Move a little to the side to add rule of thirds to the image. i used photoshop on a couple of them to fix the lighting. I reached the goal by taking as many pictures as i could to choose from them and that gave me a better advantage, I also followed some of the things on the hand out that would make pictures better. Just taking pictures because it can be fun sometimes just taking pictures of the world around you. Not having the time because for me I am involved with sports so I couldn't always find the time. I would honestly rate my effort a 7 or 8 because I could always put more effort in and try more harder.

Composition: point to ponder

emphasize forground because im holding the camera high to emphasize the water and the trees in the background
this is rule of thirds because the main subject is on the outer frame of the picture

this is height and distance because im emphasizing how tall the sign is
leading lines because of the baseball bat and the ball and home plate are drawing attention with the lines
this is simplicity because it is focused on one thing and there is no dead space
Avoid bulls eye because there is nothing in the middle of the frame except the tree in the way back.
this is multiple subjects beaucse the trash and boats are all the focus of the picture
this is brightness and sharpness because it has good lighting

The Falling Man

The falling man

This photo makes this part of Time Magazine's 100 Best Collection because of many reasons. This man is falling for his life. Trapped up in a building that is blazing in fire, he did not have many choices left. It was a terrorist attack on our own soil. Both world trade centers with smoke coming out of them. People starts to jump out of the building and, Richard drew starts to take pictures of them. This picture shows the courage and chance that that man and people took, and in some way people can relate to it.

The difference between a snap shot and a artistic photo is a snap shot is a quick picture with not much effort. An artistic photo is a picture with many details with effort into it.
